Is the a5100 by SONY still worth buying in 2020?
The SONY a5100 is an entry level budget mirrorless camera ideal for VLOGGING and YOUTUBE. It was released in 2014 but I picked one up in 2017 and have been using it for both stills photography as well as video work. Find out my verdict!
Are you still using the SONY a5100 in 2020, or thinking of buying one? Let me know in the comments!

Are you still using the SONY a5100 in 2020, or thinking of buying one? Let me know!
i thought i had the video at 1.5x :I
I just dug mine out, am thinking of starting a YouTube channel with it
I started a YouTube channel and searching for a camera under 35000…. Well is this a good camera??? Shall i buy this camera in july 2020??? Plss reply.. which will help me to buy😵😔
Or even suggest me a good camera under 35000
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THE OVERHEATING and the INTERNAL BATTERY?
i need a reason to keep this camera!
im buying this today!
Hi. Just buying one of these and I was slightly concerned about the cutting out due to overheating issue when recording. You did say "without using an external power source I haven't found a great way around this". Does that suggest that the overheating problem can be overcome by using an external power source?
I need a camera for YouTubing. The video will be dealt with the tech stuffs and video will be shooted in a studio environment with full lights.
Will this camera gives better video quality on that studio environment?
Is kit lens (16-50 mm) is sufficient for shooting tech stuff?
(tech stuff – hardware boards, pcb, robotics,IoT etc)
Does a5100 have ibis?
I bought a5100 in 2015, still using it with satisfaction
I just recently purchased the SONY a5100 but I’m having issues with overheating. Do you have solutions for this?
Is it good for shooting YouTube videos with its stock lens?
Ive watched lots of reviews on this camera and was thinking of investing, as i need one for YT recorded video and live streams, but its no good if it shuts down after 15/20 mins through over heating. Is there an alternative that will last longer please
Last time i thought its enough for me just using my iphone X for photography, and im wrong! Btw A5100 still hot in the market even its been 6 years old. Power camera!
Can you plz explain lens options pretty plz
Hey man, I was going too buy this just too record my sets in the gym, would it be worth it in your opinion?
The overheating problem is a bummer. I would expect from such a company that it should have adressed this problem after 6 years…
I need to buy camera for hour-long streaming (eventually multi-cam setup) and have been thinking of Panasonic V800. But then I found this camera – and can't decide! 🙁 Has "less zoom" out-of-the-box and no remote control of zoom – but if the image quality so much better that I'd rather want that?… Any ideas? :-/ Of course if even using the HDMI output instead of recording still makes the camera shut off after ~20 mins it's a no go…
You are my go to guy for A5100 because you break it down to simple terms with no bull in between. Thank you for taking your time to provide value! You have helped me out immensely with my camera and I enjoy it more.
Hey! I've got a question? Actually, two questions. Is that camera overheating? Is it true, that camera can make just 5 min. video? Thanks!
