Classic Game Room reviews N2O: Nitrous Oxide for Sony PlayStation from 1998! Bridging the vintage gameplay of Tempest with a touch of dazzling lights, N20 features a war between humans and villainous alien insects taking place down a twisting tunnel featuring the music of Crystal Method.

Love Crystal Method, even have their DVD-Audio of Legion of Boom before blu ray music was a thing. As far as this great game and Tempest, another PS1 classic I own is like this, my favorite tunnel shooter, import only, but you can even pop in a burned disc after game loads and play to your custom soundtrack. I'm talking….. I.S. Internal Section. Beautiful red cover/jewel case and disc, check it out, I love it.
They really need to remaster this game. I would instantly buy.
Rave: the Game
Man this game rocked used to take some E and trip out lol was SIC af 🙌
I played this a lot. Fantastic music like I've never heard b4 I'm 63 too old to like this kind of music?
This game was awesome
I've always had a soft spot for this game. Hella fun!
Its NO² my guy
I fucking swear, my N2O case had the SAME DAMN CRACK, in the SAME DAMN PLACE!
Tempest + gradius
Man, I remember playing this game a lot as a kid.
I picked this game up yesterday at a thrift store and it's quite amazing…. but it also gives amazing headaches. Probably best played through component cables, as the high resolution and bright colors of HDMI combined with insane twists and turns are overpowering.
You can definitely tell Valve took inspiration from this game when creating the storyline for the first Portal game; where the objective is to pass all the test chambers to obtain a slice of cake.
I have it
What's neat is that after the game loads you can take out the game disc and put your own music cd in.
Im gonna get this on the ps store. Thanks karnage.
This games allot of fun on acid.
have you played dyad? it is a tunnel shooter in a way
Killing giant alien bugs for milk and cookies…Worth it!
Bought this the day it came out. You could put the game in your CD player and listen to the music. I played this and Omega Boost way too much.
Now on Steam

WHY IS EVERY FUCKING VIDEO SO FUCKING LOUD FU CGR FOR MAKING MY EARS CRINGE!
Never really been into tube shooters, but this does make me want to pick up a copy of Raiden, I really don't play enough space shooters.
A whole 70MB download from the PSN store. Plays fantastic on my Vita!!
Damn never heard of this would have loved to take the acid back in 98 and play this baby!
Almost like centipede meets wipeout…
its making me nauseous
MILK AND COOKIES! (dives into the tunnel and blasts everything)
All of a sudden I have the urge to take drugs and commandeer a spaceship
i imagine that mark plays 2 player games with a mole
The joys in earn an easy extra life using a Firewall against a centipede while you listen to Busy Child…
I wish a remake of this game for this generation….
Omg it IS on the PSN!
"Get busy child."
Wow I can't believe this is the day Mark would review this game.
This game holds a very near and dear place in my heart and I adore everything about it.
HE FINALLY PUT THE GAME INTO THE PROPER CONSOLE.
Ohhhhh man! This reminds me of Tube Slider for the gamecube. That was a fun game.
Crystal Method was the best possible soundtrack for this game. The visuals and speed of the game scream Crystal Method.
One of my favorite PS1 games, to this day it looks and sounds incredible to me, there's just something very special, very fascinating about this game, Cyber Speed and Rez 🙂
A couple of those Crystal Method tracks also appear on FIFA 98, possibly the only thing these two games have in common.
